The HBO Max series features more ’70s dirtbag fashion, sexism discussions, emancipation, and office romance than you can shake a stick at. It’s as if they foresaw that we’d all be getting shag haircuts and provided the inspiration alongside a full dish of top-notch humor.
It’s a fictional workplace comedy about a feminist writer who, to have her radical pieces published, creates the first sexy magazine for women. If you came here without knowing what I’m talking about, you may watch the pilot episode online for free. She learns from her errors and broadens her feminist outlook as a result. Go ahead and check it out; then we’ll talk about what we know about Season 2 of Minx.
First Things First, is Minx Getting a Season 2?
After weeks of speculation, Minx fans can rest easy. Starz, the new home of the show, has ordered a second season and will air all of the previous seasons.
Although HBO Max had renewed Minx for a second season back in May, the show was ultimately canceled. An article in Variety claims that production on the second season was nearly finished when Warner Bros. Discovery decided to discontinue the show to cut costs.

As for HBO Max, the first season is no longer available to watch because it was removed. Lionsgate, the show’s original producer, successfully sold the project around, and the show is still on the air.

According to Popsugar, When HBO Max announced the cancellation of “Minx” in December 2022, production was in process but not yet complete. Since there is still filming to be done, Starz has not yet revealed when season two will premiere, but we can safely presume it will be sometime in 2023.

How Did Minx Season 1 End?
By the end of the first season, the magazine has been the target of demonstrations, legal action, and a possible citywide pornography ban. At the same time that model Bambi announces her retirement, photographer Richie declines promotion to art director, and Doug’s business partner Tina is admitted to various institutions, Doug hands over the entire creative authority of the magazine to Joyce.
Who in the Minx Cast is Returning for Season 2?
The return of Ophelia Lovibond and Jake, hairy chest and all, has been confirmed for Minx season two. That would ideally include Idara Victor, Jessica Lowe, Lennon Parham, Michael Angarano, and Oscar Montoya.
When Will Minx Season 2 Get Here Already?
They simply need to finish editing and post-production now that it has a new home, and it’ll be back on the air. Though a specific date for its release has yet to be announced, you can rest assured that it won’t be long now.
What Can We Expect From Minx Season 2?
Because Season 1 ends with all of our favorite characters at a turning point, Season 2 will have plenty of material to work with. As Season 1 comes to a close, the once strong friendship between Doug and Joyce has been shattered due to betrayals and lost trust on both sides.
Doug’s Bottom Dollar Publications has been hit hard by a string of litigation, and the company’s attorney has recommended that they shut down Minx for good. While Doug elevates Tina to managing editor and looks for a new editor-in-chief, Joyce completely leaves the company.

At the end of the day, though, Doug asks Joyce to return, explaining that he wants to work along with her to fix Minx. Joyce responds, “I’m not sure I’m interested in handing away my authority anymore,” to which Doug responds, “Minx is yours.” Take it; I don’t want to go through with it without you.
With Doug’s repeated reminders that Joyce is an editor, not a publisher, it appears that in Season Two, Joyce will be responsible for creating Minx independently. Joyce’s conflicted expression as the credits roll in the closing scene hints that she and Doug’s relationship hasn’t quite ended yet.

Tina, a minor character, is shown going through acceptance letters to business schools like Wharton and Harvard, implying that she may not be sticking with Bottom Dollar for much longer. Meanwhile, it seems that Bambi and Shelly’s budding romance has fizzled out, with Shelly returning to her husband’s arms at the end of the season finale.
In addition to Bambi and Richie’s strained relationship with Doug, Bambi’s future at Bottom Dollar is dubious. Can Doug assemble a winning team, or are Bottom Dollar’s best days passed? Season two, we’re predicting, will focus on Doug’s campaign to win back his disgruntled employees.

The creative group, thankfully, has a strategy. In an interview with Collider, executive producer Paul Feig said, “When you put up a show and go in and pitch it, you have to be able to present up to Season Three and Season Four.” The general direction of the show, without delving into great depth.

In other words, we have a good idea of its final destination. I’m not at liberty to divulge anything, but rest assured: it’s excellent. This is an extremely long narrative with many twists and turns. Because Ellen is so bright, she has the whole plan laid out.
