True Detective Season 4 Release Date and What We Know So Far?

The fourth season of the critically acclaimed HBO drama “True Detective,” working title “True Detective: Night County,” will premiere in 2023, though the exact date has not been set.

According to TV Guide, Nick Pizzolatto, who created the anthology as the show’s sole writer, will hand the reins to Issa Lopez, who will serve as executive producer for Season 4. Each of the prior series was nominated for more than 20 Emmys. The first season, which starred Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey, was the most nominated breakthrough series on HBO in 2014.

Lopez, the new executive producer, is an award-winning Mexican producer, writer, and director. Tigers Will Not Be Afraid and Casi Divas were her last two books.

The fourth season of True Detective will follow two investigators as they investigate the disappearance of a large number of people in Alaska. Jodie Foster plays one of the investigators, Liz Danvers; Evangeline Navarro is the other (Kali Reis).

The series creator, Nic Pizzolatto, is not involved in Season 5. Issa López (Tigers Are Not Afraid) directs True Detective: Night Country, while Barry Jenkins (Moonlight) serves as an executive producer on the project.
