We are overjoyed that Girls5eva has attracted a new legion of supporters. Since its launch on Peacock in 2021, audiences have been hooked on the Tina Fey–produced comedy, which was recently bought up by Netflix.
As background, the Emmy-nominated sitcom centers on a one-hit-wonder girl trio from the ’90s, appropriately titled Girls5eva, who try to resurrect their career after teenage rapper samples their most popular song.
The whole thing is a wholesome mix of comedy, music, and feel-good television about juggling jobs, spouses, children, aging, and the occasional discomfort in one’s shoulder. To that end, any rumors about an upcoming episode will be enthusiastically received.
Girls5eva Season 3 Release Date
According to Radiotimes, Netflix has not yet said when season 3 will be accessible, but given that seasons 1 and 2 have already been added to the service, it is safe to assume that the next installment will arrive soon.
A run of seasons 1 and 2 on Netflix is largely expected to be delayed until closer to the launch of season 3, as reported by Variety, to pique audiences’ interest in the new episodes and avoid making them wait an entire year.
Because the first two seasons of Peacock premiered a year apart in May 2021 and June 2022, respectively, we might be looking at a spring/summer 2023 release date for the third season.
Girls5eva Season 3 Cast Members: Who Are in It?
Among the returning cast members for Season 3 are series regulars Sara Bareilles, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Busy Philipps, and Paula Pell, who play the four remaining members of the popular girl group Girls5eva.
Bareilles plays Dawn, the group’s more laid-back member, who, before rejoining with the ladies, is working in her brother’s Italian restaurant and has been nominated for a Grammy.

Broadway stalwart Goldsberry plays Wickie, the group’s self-proclaimed “fierce” member who works undercover as an airport employee. Well-known for her appearances in Cougar Town and I Feel Pretty, Philipps plays Summer, a married woman who lives in a lavish estate but is largely ignored by her husband.
Pell is a well-known actress and comedy writer whose credits include shows like 30 Rock and Saturday Night Live. She’s the final member of the ’90s girl group and plays Gloria, a dentist, and workaholic who just got a divorce.

In the most recent episode, the ladies (Dawn included because she just found out she was pregnant) set out on a new tour. Together with the group’s future, their complicated personal lives, and everything else that life chucks at them, we expect it to be a major theme of season 3.
Where to Watch Girls5eva?
After Netflix’s takeover, it may be unclear how and where viewers may access Girls5eva. All seasons one and two, as well as the upcoming third, are now available to watch in the UK on Netflix. They originally aired in the US on Peacock.
