There have been many notable families of stars throughout the long history of cinema. Whether it’s the Affleck Brothers or Drew Barrymore’s Oscar-winning great-uncle Lionel, Hollywood’s biggest names often come from within the same family.
Director Stephen Gyllenhaal and screenwriter and producer Naomi Foner, both highly regarded in their respective fields, decided to give their children, Maggie and Jake Gyllenhaal, the opportunity to follow in their footsteps and pursue careers in film.
While both Maggie and Jake enjoyed great success as child actors, it was Jake who reached greater heights once they reached adulthood. During the last two decades, he has appeared in several films and become a household celebrity, earning him nominations for both the Academy Award for Best Actor and the Golden Globe for Best Actor.
With his upcoming performance as Sergeant John Kinely in Guy Ritchie’s The Covenant, Jake Gyllenhaal has cemented his position as one of the best actors of his time. With that in mind, here is everything we know about Guy Ritchie’s The Covenant.
The Covenant Movie Release Date
According to Collider, Fans have been waiting anxiously since it was revealed in January 2022 that Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer had acquired the distribution rights to Guy Ritchie’s The Covenant. Fans were relieved to see that Guy Ritchie’s The Covenant would open in theatres across the United States on April 21, 2023.
Despite MGM’s acquisition of domestic rights, Amazon Prime has secured international rights, so Guy Ritchie’s The Covenant will premiere on Prime Video on the same day it premieres in the United States.
