Wild, the 2014 based-on-a-true-story drama starring Reese Witherspoon as author Cheryl Strayed, is based on Strayed’s self-titled memoir about her spiritual journey along the Appalachian Trail following her divorce in the mid-1990s.
But, Strayed is also known as “Sugar,” the pen name under whom she penned an anonymous advice column for The Rumpus from 2010 to 2012. Over two years, she wrote heartfelt, witty, and utterly frank responses to her readers’ most personal questions.
Little Lovely Things, published in 2012, is a compilation based in part on her answers to readers’ questions and in part on the behind-the-scenes experiences of a professional advise giver. The book was previously adapted for the stage, and on April 7, Hulu will debut a miniseries based on it, with Kathryn Hahn (WandaVision) replacing Witherspoon and the story switching perspectives between “current day” and her adolescence.
This month also sees the release of Beautiful Baby: Brooke Shields, a two-part documentary on the child actor and modeling superstar. It premieres on April 3. Directed by Lana Wilson, who also directed the Netflix documentary Miss Americana about Taylor Swift, it promises to examine her evolution from an oversexualized kid star (if you want to be horrified, read the Wikipedia synopsis for her 1980 film Pretty Baby, from which the documentary takes its title) to a transformative force in the entertainment industry.

Log Horizon
Log Horizon, goes like this: One day, 30,000 gamers of the online game Elder Tales find themselves suddenly stuck on another planet. Even Shiroe, a player with eight years of experience, is left in the dust there. It appears that the trapped gamers are still alive, but they are still engaged in battle with the monsters.
This anime series follows Shiroe, a game strategist, and the other players of the long-running massively multiplayer online role-playing game Elder Tale when they are transported into the game world during a patch.

Consecutive Overlords rise to prominence and face off against a Roman-inspired military power called the “Glorious Empire” in a story that picks up right where the original Overlord game left off. Rhianna Pratchett wrote the story, and she keeps a satirical tone and some dark humor about the fantasy world and genre.
That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime
That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, Workplace murder strikes one day when Satoru Mikami, an office worker, is slain. When he comes to a cave in an alien fantasy world, he learns that he has been reborn as a slime with the abilities and knowledge he had in his last life.
The protagonist, a salaryman who is brutally murdered, is reborn in a world of swords and sorcery as a slime with special abilities and eventually recruits a band of monsters to form his nation. From 2013 until 2016, it ran as an online serial on the user-generated novel publishing website Shsetsuka ni Nar.
Toriko
On a food-filled island where Toriko and Luffy finally cross paths, they ally to obtain the famous ingredient and experience its wonder for themselves. Their efforts to rescue Nami and Komatsu are complicated by the fact that the Cocoalas had kidnapped them after they ate a Hungry-la Bird they had captured.
Chainsaw Man

Hooker Hattie (Susan Sarandon) of New Orleans meets photographer Bellocq (Keith Carradine) in her brothel one night, and he ends up befriending her 12-year-old daughter, Violet (Brooke Shields).
Violet loses her innocence and becomes preoccupied with getting back together with Bellocq after being hired as a working girl by her mother’s madam and Hattie leaving town to get married. As a result of her mother’s return to town, Violet’s future with Bellocq is jeopardized.
Escape From Planet Earth
Scorch Supernova (Brendan Fraser) is a national hero and expert at daring rescues on the planet Baab. Scorch is the main man in charge at BASA, although his nerdy brother Gary (Rob Corddry) is often around to help out in the background.
Scorch disregards Gary’s cautions and goes on a rescue mission when a distress signal comes in from a hostile planet. Soon enough, Scorch will fall into an enemy’s trap, and Gary will have to come to the rescue.
