Ranking of Kings Season 2 Release Date: Who Are the Cast Members in It?

The anime Ranking of Kings sprang out of nowhere at the end of 2021, captivating viewers with its beautiful Euro-fantasy aesthetic and its deliciously inspiring story of a young deaf prince.

Season one of the show was an example of cutting-edge anime storytelling at its finest. It kept viewers guessing throughout its 23 episodes, delivering a sharp, provocative tale of heroism. Furthermore, its beauty cannot be denied. Being true to the original text contributed to its beauty.

Animation producer Maiko Okada told Crunchyroll, “[We wanted] to make sure that the color of the world was there.” “We were conscious of the need to maintain the tone of a children’s book without making it overly simplistic. We aimed for maximum brightness and clarity to better reveal the image on the screen.”

There has been no word on when Season 2 of Ranking of Kings will premiere, but we do know that a “special episode” will air in 2023.

Ranking of Kings Season 2 Release Date

According to Digitalspy, As fans eagerly await WIT Studio’s announcement of Ranking of Kings Season 2, they will be given a bonus “side tale” dubbed Treasure Chest of Courage on April 13, 2023.

Whether Treasure Chest Of Courage will consist of multiple episodes or be a one-off event is still up in the air.

The opening tune GOLD by PEOPLE 1 and the new ending theme Atemonaku by Aimer can be heard in the entire trailer we also received for the side story. Most significantly, we understand that the special will heavily rely on flashbacks to reveal more about the Kage clan and reveal a less villainous Prince Ouken.

Once the events of season one conclude, it appears that another two and a half years will pass before Bojji has had enough experiences to warrant an additional season of the anime.

With any luck, season two will be greenlit and released in late 2024. If WIT Studios opts to produce a second season with 12 episodes, we could see this sooner. Let’s keep our fingers crossed that we hear there will be a second season of Treasure Chest of Courage after it airs in April 2023.

Ranking of Kings Season 2 Cast Members: Who’s in It?

We may assume that all of Bojji’s new pals from the first season will return for the second. There are Japanese and English voice performers for all of the major characters in Ranking of Kings:

  • Emily Fajardo (English) / Minami Hinata (Japanese): Prince Bojji (English)
  • Kage: Ayumu Murase (Japanese) / SungWon Cho (English)
  • Rina Sat (Japanese) / Luci Christian / Queen Hilling (English)
  • Daida (Japanese) / Justin Briner / Yûki Kaji (English)
  • Miranjo / Brianna Roberts (English) / Maaya Sakamoto (Japanese) (English)
  • Domas (Japanese by Takuya Eguchi and written by A. J. Locascio) (English)
  • Dorshe / Brent Mukai / Hinata Tadokoro (Japanese) (English)
  • Apeas: Hiroki Yasumoto (in Japanese) and Luis Bermudez (English)
  • Bebin (in Japanese) by Yji Ueda and Christopher Wehkamp (English)
  • Takeshi Sakurai (in Japanese) and Christopher R. Sabat, Despa (English)
  • Yoshimitsu Shimoyama (Japanese) / Gabriel Kunda, King Desha (English)
  • Kenta Miyake (Japanese) / Cris George – King Bosse (English)

In addition to the stellar voice acting, the first season of Ranking of Kings also boasted a stellar creative team. Soul Eater’s chief director Makoto Fuchigami, Death Parade’s Yousuke Hatta, and One Punch Man’s associate director Arifumi Imai all had hands in making this show a reality (Attack On Titan). The cast will likely reunite for season two.

Ranking of Kings Season 2 Plotline: What Will Happen?

Most of the key storylines from the first season of Ranking of Kings were resolved by the time it ended. King Daida was restored to full physical control. Ouken and Miranjo were defeated by Bojji and the big four. And King Bosse passed away, for good this time, floating off into the sunset. Daida also proposed to Miranjo, in case you’d forgotten.

The stakes have been reset, so it’s unclear where Season 2 might take the tale. But, the final seconds of the show could provide some hints. Key events include Boji’s abdication and subsequent departure from the throne to pursue adventures with Kage (who can blame him?) and Desha’s proclamation as the new, supreme King.

Desha promises that he and his brother will do all it takes to save their brother Ouken, who was recently rolled up into a ball and yelled into a lake. Such events plant the seeds for future stories, and we can’t wait to read them — especially as they pertain to the identity of the shadowy group responsible for the rankings themselves.

Not much can be said without resorting to guesswork. Yet, author Ssuke Tka stated in a December interview with Anime News Network: “Because I have a soft heart, I prefer stories that finish well. If it were up to me, I’d make everyone happy. But I can’t help the bad ones out there. That is the essence of the matter.”

Nobody knows what this means, though, because we have no idea if there are any truly “evil” characters in Ranking of Kings. There has been no official confirmation of a second season, but animation producer Maiko Okada seems hopeful.

We’re here after one season because the fans cared enough to make this story become an anime. We’re overjoyed with the response from our devoted audience. “There’s more material to explore in the original, so let’s hope there’s another season if fans are still interested. So stick with us, if you will “As of October 2022, they had already revealed the news to Crunchyroll.

Ranking of Kings Season 2 Trailer: When Can I See It?

There are also other shows in a similar genre that can keep you occupied till the debut of the ranking of kings series. Such Shows Include Ranger Reject AnimeBlood Of Zeus Season 2, and more.
