Fans of the drama, which is based on Peter James’ novels and stars John Simm as the title detective Roy Grace, are likely wondering when they will next see the characters and see the resolves after the shocking reveals at the end of season three.
The word that Grace would be returning for a fourth season came in January 2023, well before the third season had even begun broadcasting.
Peter James’s subsequent Roy Grace novels, Dead Man’s Time, Want You Dead, You Are Dead, and Love You Dead, will be adapted in this show.
Grace Season 4 Release Date
According to Radiotimes, Season 4 of Grace will begin filming this April, and while we don’t have an air date just yet, we do know that the episodes will premiere in 2024.
Season 2 followed Season 1 by a little over a year, and Season 3 followed by just under a year, thus we can safely assume that Season 4 will premiere in early 2024 thanks to the show’s early renewal and this pattern.
If more details become available, we will post them here.

How Many Episodes are in Grace Season 4?
This ITV detective drama’s fourth season will have four episodes, double the amount of any prior season.
Grace Season 4 Plotline: What Can We Expect From It?
It’s possible that Grace’s hands will be full in the fourth season, what with his girlfriend Cleo Morey finding out she’s pregnant and his estranged wife Sandy allegedly seeking to establish that he’s also the father of her child.
In addition, Grace will dive headfirst into four new cases inspired by Peter James’s Dead Man’s Time, Wish You Dead, You Are Dead, and Love You Dead.
A theft of antiques, an obsessed ex-lover, a probable serial killer, and a possible black widow make up the four cases.
As season four concludes, ITV will have adapted 12 of Peter James’ 19 Roy Grace novels, so there may be at least a couple more seasons to come, if not a spin-off series based on Sandy.
James recently told the media that he is working on a novel centered around Sandy as a stand-alone piece. It’s told from her point of view, beginning on the day she leaves him and explaining why she does so.
There are also other shows in a similar genre that can keep you occupied till the debut of the grace series. Such Shows Include Behind the Attraction Season 2 , Sugar Apple Fairy Tale Season 2, and more.
