Feeling nostalgic? A little “Saturday in the Park” or “If You Leave Me Now” bring back any memories? Enjoy those good times again and drop by the Borgata this weekend for Chicago. Chicago is one of the longest-running and most successful rock groups, and one of the world's best-selling groups of all time, having sold more than 100 million records. Have an obsession with chocolate? We’ve found the perfect event that combines chocolate and another favorite thing…wine. The Downtown Wildwood Wine & Chocolate Lovers Weekend. And the best part is the admission is free. It’s a dream come true for all chocolate lovers as “all things chocolate” will be showcased in one location. There will be candies, fudge, cookies, cheesecakes, fruit and nuts just to name a few. If you are a Jazz lover then the Exit Zero Jazz Festival is for you. It’s a three-day live music extravaganza. Jazz artists and bands at various locations throughout Cape May. Twice a year, every Spring and Fall, the Exit Zero Jazz Festival stages its world-class music fest. Music can be heard everywhere in Cape May, on the streets in the form of New Orleans style second line parades, in the clubs and restaurants bursting at the seams with music and energy and on 2 Main Stages where international touring artists thrill audiences at what has become known as one of the most respected and creative jazz festivals in the country. It’s Doo-Dah Parade time. What is the Doo-Dah parade you ask?
It’s Ocean City’s annual tribute to humor and marks the opening of an uninterrupted season of special events that stretches throughout the year. Welcome Spring with this comedy parade with over 300 Basset Hounds. You can’t beat a day with 300 Basset Hounds…
The procession features marching bands, floats, and this year’s grand marshal is Barbara Eden of “I Dream of Jeannie” fame. The Doo-Dah hoopla starts at noon Saturday, April 13, 2019 in Ocean City. If you’re in Asbury Park be sure to drop by the 4th Annual Lobster Run 5K Run/Walk to Care for the Coast all proceeds benefiting the American Littoral Society. The fun begins and ends at The Langosta Lounge, 1000 Ocean Avenue and Second Avenue, Asbury Park, NJ 07712.
While in Asbury stop by The Asbury Festhalle & Biergarten’s rooftop spring market featuring local, handmade, artisanal and sustainable goods. Love boats? Then you’ll want to head to the first ever Belmar Boat Show at the beautiful Belmar Marina. Enjoy the boats, the sunshine, and the scenic water views at the marina. Free admission. Food and local merchandise for sale by Belmar businesses.
Have a need to shop? Don’t we all…then you'll want to take a detour to The Historic Village at Allaire and hunt for bargains among vintage treasures, bric-a-brac, books, art work, handmade items, knick-knacks and so much more! The event runs from 8am - 3pm. $2 admission for adults, children under 12 free. The Historic Village, General Store, and Bakery will be open as well. Saturday, April 13 from 8AM to 3PM. The rain date for this event is Sunday, April 14th. Has anyone ever told you to go fly a kite? Well this weekend you can tell everyone just that. Kite flyers from all areas of the eastern seaboard will fly their most incredible creations at the Annual Kites at the Pier at Pier Village in Long Branch. Sat. April 13 and Sun, April 14 from 9AM - 4PM.
