Fans of the anime version of Shadows House will be glad to hear that there is still a lot of source material for season 3.

When it comes to supernatural slice-of-life anime, Shadows House has a style and mood that are hard to find in other shows. The popular CloverWork show came back for a second season in the summer of 2022, but it will end today with the airing of the 12th and last episode.

Fans, on the other hand, are already thinking about the future. Shadows House season 3 is still TBA, but the world can be sure that the anime will continue into the third season.

Shadows House Episode 12 Release Date

Shadows House season 2 episode 12, the last episode of the season, is set to air on September 23.

Crunchyroll has confirmed that episode 12, “Those Who Fight Back,” will be available to stream online at the following times around the world:

Shadows House Season 3 Renewal Status

As was already said, Shadows House hasn’t been officially renewed for a third season yet. However, there are a few things that give fans hope that the anime show will keep going.

The first thing to know is that there is still a lot of the original manga series left for the Shadows House anime to use for a third TV season. So-Ma-original To’s manga goes up to volume 7 chapter 80, which is what the season 2 finale should cover.

As of September 2022, 11 chapters with a total of 124 chapters have been published in Japan. This is good news for fans of the series. This means that there is enough source material for at least one more season of the Shadows House anime, after at least one or two more volumes are published by the first quarter of 2023.

The anime should be popular enough for Studio CloverWorks to make a third season. Before the season 2 finale, the show has a solid 7.4/10 rating on IMDB. MyAnimeList, Analyst, and Anime Planet give the show’s second season scores of 7.97/10, 78%, and 4/5, respectively.

When you add this to the fact that the second season of the anime show increased manga sales by about 200,000, bringing the total number of copies in circulation to 1.8 million by August 1, 2022, it’s clear that Shadows House season 3 will be made at some point.

Shadows House Season 3 Release Date

Since Shadows House season 3 hasn’t been officially renewed yet, there is still no confirmed information about when it might come out. We can, however, make some early guesses based on how the first and second seasons were made.

The anime version of Shadows House was announced in October 2020, and it will be released around the world in April 2021. Pre-production probably started a few months before the announcement, though.

Then, Season 2 was ordered in September 2021, and it will come back to TV and Crunchyroll in July 2022, which is about nine months after it was ordered.

This means that if CloverWorks goes ahead and renews the show before the end of the year, Shadows House season 3 could come out as early as July 2023 on the Summer schedule.

CloverWorks already has a few big projects planned for the new year, like the second season of My Dress-Up Darling and the likely continuation of Spy x Family. This could be a problem.

This means that, by all accounts, the popular animation studio will be free to work on Shadows House season 3 by the summer of 2023. If My Dress-Up Darling and Spy x Family take priority as expected, this should push Shadows House season 3 into a launch window in October 2023.

The Plotline

The voices of the children’s wing will come out in Season 3 of The Shadows House. Maryrose was the one who carried the flag, which gave Kate and Emilio hope. Also, Barbara has joined the fight to get the adults and their stupid rules out of the children’s wing. But it wouldn’t be as easy as it seems at first.

So, Kate’s main goal is to stop the living dolls from freaking out when they come back to themselves.

English Dub Release Date Predictions

The English dub of Season 1 of Shadows House by FUNimation came out on May 29, 2021. Crunchyroll was bought by Sony, so the first season was moved to Crunchyroll.

The English dub of the first season of Shadows House 2 came out on Crunchyroll on July 22, 2022. This was only a few weeks after the first episode, which came out on July 9, 2022.

Sony is getting rid of Funimation, so Crunchyroll’s Shadows House Season 3 English dub release date will likely be announced in the future after the show has already been shown with Japanese audio and English subtitles.

Once the COVID pandemic is over and becomes routine, we can only hope that English dubbing will go faster in the future. So that voice actors wouldn’t get sick from the coronavirus pandemic, production had to be put on hold or they had to take extra safety measures, which slowed down work.
