In the Naruto series, Akatsuki was a group of shinobi who had left their hidden villages and joined together. Even though most countries thought of them as criminals, the main goal of the Akatsuki was to end the war and make peace. Their methods, on the other hand, were very unusual and extreme. They caught the Tailed Beasts, woke up the Gedo Statue, and used its power. Because of this, the group was often thought to be a threat to society.
Even though the bad guys in anime are shown in different ways, a common theme is that they do bad things for the greater good. A lot of bad guys in different shows either want the same thing or want something similar to what the Akatsuki wants. So, here are some anime characters who are bad enough to join the group.
1. Hisoka Morrow (Hunter x Hunter)
Hisoka is a recurring wild card and formidable trickster in the Hunter × Hunter series. Hisoka has had his fair share of villainous moments, despite being tough to categorize as a villain, hero, or ethically ambiguous character.
To gratify his ego and for his own entertainment, the con artist eliminated unnecessarily several candidates during the Hunter Examination. In addition, his participation with the Phantom Troupe placed many others in peril. Someone like him would fit in perfectly with the Akatsuki and would have no trouble integrating.
2. Blackbeard (One Piece)
Blackbeard has two of the most powerful Devil Fruits in One Piece. Because of this, he is probably the only character who can take on the Akatsuki by himself.
With the Tremor-Tremor Fruit, he can make the land, sea, and air shake like an earthquake. With the Dark-Dark Fruit, he can absorb any kind of physical matter, turning him into a living black hole. In battle, he would be a big problem for the Leaf Shinobi, and his skills would be perfect for catching the Tailed Beasts.

3. Lelouch (Code Geass)
Lelouch vi Britannia was an aristocrat who had fallen from favor with his family. Like other others on this list, he was rather conceited. Although he fights for the greater good, his strategy may not be entirely appropriate. In addition, Lelouch may be perceived as a fervent supporter of justice and liberation, yet this deteriorates into fanaticism.
Ultimately, he wishes, much like the Akatsuki, to shape the world into an image he finds fair and pleasing. That is, of course, regardless of the opinions of others, even if they are irrelevant.
4. Tomura Shigaraki (My Hero Academia)
Tomura Shigaraki, who is the Symbol of Chaos in My Hero Academia, recently got a big new power. He got a new, better body, and the All For One Quirk was added to it. This gave him access to many new abilities and made his own Decay Quirk stronger.
His kind of bad guy would fit right in with the Akatsuki. With all of his new Quirks, he would be more than a match for a shinobi. Not only would his Quirks help him catch the Tailed Beasts, but they would also be more than enough to beat them.
5. Alucard (Hellsing)
Alucard was introduced as the most powerful vampire. He has an unquenchable thirst for blood and doesn’t know much about ethics, which could make him a good fit for the Akatsuki. He likes to mess with people’s lives slowly because he has a flair for drama.
Like the other people on this list, Alucard’s biggest flaw was his pride. But a few Akatsuki members were also like that, so he wouldn’t have a hard time fitting in.
6. Kaido (One Piece)
Kaido is commonly regarded as one of Luffy’s most formidable adversaries. He would be one of Akatsuki’s first recruits, given his natural superhuman strength and nearly indestructible skin. While his Armament Haki increases his strength and durability, he can significantly boost his strike power by imbuing his Conqueror’s Haki into his massive war club.
Due to his Devil Fruit, his main weapon against a Tailed Beast would be his ability to transform into a massive azure dragon. In addition, this skill would make him strong enough to face the Tailed Beasts on his own.
7. Dio Brando (Jojo’s Bizarre Adventures)
Dio, blinded by his immense sense of pride, has brought misery wherever he has walked. As an example, he destroyed the Joestar estate, murdered his adoptive father, and used his brother’s body as a puppet, and that was just the beginning.
His gloomy personality would make him an ideal choice for Akatsuki. In addition, every aspect of him screams evil, and he lives up to his moniker. Not to mention, he possesses considerable strength.
8. The Major (Hellsing)
The Major is a self-centered narcissist who is probably one of the worst bad guys out there. He led the attack on London to settle a grudge that went back more than 50 years.
The Major was also directly to blame for a massacre that killed a lot of people. He liked fighting and spreading violence everywhere he went. Such a sick person would be like Hiden or Kakuzu in that they wouldn’t be afraid to kill anyone or anything and would enjoy seeing other people suffer.
9. Father (Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood)
Father was created concurrently with the homunculus. He sacrificed an entire nation to gain strength, almost challenged God, and nearly conquered the sky. His hunger for power was genuinely boundless.
Given his notoriety, Father could have been one of the most powerful members of the Akatsuki. His strength was vital in subduing the Tailed Beasts and eliminating the Jinchuriki who stood in his way.
10. Vergo (One Piece)
Vergo was a high-ranking officer in the Donquixote Pirates who joined the Marines and worked his way up to Vice Admiral. Even though he didn’t have a Devil Fruit, he was still a scary fighter who could have caught Akatsuki’s attention.
Vergo learned the superhuman martial arts style called Rokushiki while he was in the Marines. This let him fight and move while in the air. With it, he could fight more than one person with just one finger.
He could also cover his whole body in Armament Haki, which made his already strong and durable body even stronger. So, he could have become Akatsuki’s best close-range fighter without much trouble.
